Rimini Academy has been teaching Italian language and culture to students of every age and nationality since 1994.
Thanks to years of experience, Rimini Academy is able to offer different types of linguistic, cultural and specialised courses, created for all needs and interests.
Here is what we offer: group courses of Italian language and culture, individual Italian language courses, Italian exam preparation courses and professional courses of Italian for the world of work and education.
How the classes are organised
Classes, on average, contain between five and eight students. In summer it is possible to reach a maximum of 12 students per class.
Upon arrival, students will have a written test in order to determine their level of understanding of the Italian language and to find the right class for them.
The teachers will monitor the progress of all students through regular tests, both written and oral.
At the end of the course each student will receive a certificate of attendance with the number of hours and linguistic level studied.
The hours of lessons are shared between two teachers, who help the students to comprehend and express themselves in spoken and written Italian.
How the levels are organised
Our courses are divided into five levels of study:
no knowledge of the language
low knowledge of the language
basic knowledge of grammar, sufficient oral expression
reasonable knowledge of grammar and good oral expression
good knowledge of grammar and good oral expression
Our courses of Italian language and culture are structured according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): elementary (A1-A2), intermediate (B1-B2), advanced (C1-C2).
Rimini Academy offers weekly and monthly group courses all year round for levels A1-A2-B1-B2. The minimum number of participants in a group course is three people. If the minimum number of three participants is not reached, the course timetable will be modified, for example, a group course of four hours per day would become a course of two hours per day. Beginner level students begin their courses on the first Monday of the month. Courses for C1-C2 levels are only available in the summer months (July, August) with a minimum of five participants.
Group courses of Italian
Our general group courses are for students who want to learn our language or to improve their knowledge. They are the most popular and frequented courses here at Rimini Academy and represent a perfect choice for thos who want to enjoy a study holiday and improve their Italian.
The school is open all year round and our courses have a duration of one or two weeks up to a maximum of one year.
Lessons begin in the morning at 9am and upon request, in the afternoon at 1.30pm, from Monday to Friday.
NB: Beginner level courses begin on the first Monday of the month.
Individual Courses of Italian
Our individual courses of Italian are for those students who prefer to follow their own personalised study path. The subjects covered in the individual lessons can be agreed directly between the teacher and the student. In this way students obtain considerable results in a short time. The lesson timetable can be arranged directly with the teacher.
Mixed Course of Italian+English
Mixed Course of Italian + English
Rimini Academy offers a combined course of Italian and English. As a result of many requests for courses of English we have decided to combine our two most popular languages into one course.
Rimini Academy works exclusively with specialised mother tongue teachers who possess the necessary skills, experience and qualifications to teach both Italian and English to our students.
The mixed course of Italian and English is for those who, for work or study, are interested in learning or improving both languages.
Lessons include two hours of Italian in a group and two hours of individual lessons of English: apart from providing grammatical, lexical and pronunciation study, particular attention is given to the spoken language and conversation.
